King Magín, who adores cheese, can’t enjoy the ones he has in his palace because the mice eat them all. After a lot of thinking, he decides to call for the palace cats to get rid of the mice. But then, to get rid of the cats he has to call for the dogs… And in this way, he has to call for lions, elephants and finally, the circle closes once again with the arrival of the mice.
This popular funny and fast-flowing Persian tale has been adapted to verse. From one basic structure, which is repeated time and time again, the story gains in complication.
