Faustino the cat is left shut in at come while his owner, Paula, and the other members of her family go off for a day in the country. Faustino decides to go and explore the flat and begins with the kitchen where he causes chaos. He then moves on to the bathroom and to Paula’s parents’ bedroom. Faustino has a great time, but when Paula’s family returns home and discovers what he has been up to, the little girl’s mother does not find it funny.
It is an amusing and innocent tale of domestic adventure. Even though Paula is the narrator, the story is seen from the cat’s point of view, which helps to bring out the text’s imaginative and humouristic side. Thanks to the numerous and splendid illustrations by Pere Puig, this paperback seems to be a real illustrated album.
